The LFDW2016 Experience; the Glitz and Fun

Hi there! So this is this last post of my Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2016 (LFDW2016) recap. It was truly a beautiful experience and if it were up to me, I would write on and on about it. But then, every good thing comes to an end.

In this post, I would be highlighting some of my best moments from all four days; the glitz, the glamour and the highs of the show as far as my eyes are concerned, I would also be giving away four VIP tickets to a movie premier courtesy Amstel Malta so stick around and lets begin with:

We were stuck in traffic and had begun to worry that we would miss street style from Day 1, we were also losing daylight already.  However; our arrival was timed   perfectly, being fashionably late meant that the media was bored with the faces on ground and the squad was just too fly to ignore hence we had our moment…

Dibia Valentinoe

I also met IK, we exchanged pleasantries and  hooked up for this amazing picture, credit to David Adetola (Director of Arts) for the sweet image. He was so real  and he is totally a true representation of a real G from the South.

I liked also this Day one look from Akin, we got a lot of people sold on the whole Afrocentric style thing.

DAY 2

Being nervous about my outfit and all, it was so comforting when I arrived and joined IK and Prince K, we talked and got a lot of good pictures together.

We were later joined by Seun, apparently these Caleb boys did not come to joke… Style Vitae called us “the fantastic four”.

We hooked up for a shoefie lol.

How’s that for a photo-bomb hehe. Its not my fault, during these things you don’t even know who they are snapping and who is just standing.

Day 3 was my happiest day I really can’t explain why, or maybe I can; my blogger mama was around and we had amazing moments.

I got this beautiful superhero- like picture of Cassie, yea… she is super like that.

My photo- booth experience with Tolu, Jacy and Cassie  was awesome… I was actually sad that there was no photo-booth on day 4 but thankfully, I got some good    pictures on day 3. Many thanks to Style vitae and Cold Stone for this.

Then in the show proper, Mai Atafo’s showcase was very exciting, every minute of it was fun, it was worth the wait.

Kalineofficial was super awesome on the piano… The wedding feel was perfect

Then this moment when baby girl stunned in one of Uncle Mai’s wedding pieces, I just want to marry her already…

Speaking of marriage, there was an actual proposal by designer Johnson, after his exhibition, he proposed right on the runway…. Can you beat that? Even I felt something in that moment…

Like an actual engagement ring, no jokes… I’m sure Noble had a hand in this…

Day 4

bmkpmewje_7This street style moment from Kene and Style connoisseur was super hot… breath taking sight to behold.

Hehehe I remember this moment, I was about to take a picture with uncle Nobs and Jacy kept calling me, hence the face.

Now to the give-away;

I have to give, four(a couple, and two separate) tickets to a VIP Premiere of “Dinner” a Franklyn Jituboh  movie starring; Richard Mofe- Damijo, Ireti Doyle, Okey Uzoeshi and a host of other stars.Taking place on Friday the 11th of November 2016, at the Film-House IMAX Lekki Phase 1. If you are like me- not a huge fan of Nigerian movies or movies in general; there would be red-carpet glamour, lots of refreshment and a gift bag all courtesy Amstel Malta.

All you have to do is leave a comment on your thoughts on the Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2016 (LFDW2016) based on personal experience or based on my reviews. Winners would be chosen at random. And announced in Wednesday’s post.

Thanks for sticking around, love you much.
