Hey hey people! Just as promised, a follow up to the last post, in case you missed it read here . I titled this one “groom inspiration” because, asides from the fact that it was the first thing that came to my mind, it is a good choice when picking a wedding outfit.
Most people tend to go with the norm; the black, or navy blue suit for the groom and his best man. However; the black pant and cream or white jacket (as the case may be) is equally as good a choice if you ask me. More excellent is the fact that with the neutrality of both colors (black and white) you can adopt another of the wedding colors into your outfit.
The pocket square is made from a patterned material largely dominated by red, as such;; I fancied sticking to a single color sock, equally red. Accessories;
Gold lapel pin and of course my gold wedding ring (since its groom inspiration now.) I think the bride is available now… However there are slight problems.
Yetunde is an excellent choice, I can marry from any tribe, I can also marry a Muslim, however; errrm… she said yes on the condition that the ring would be 25 carat lol. I can’t afford to marry her yet, but I’ll keep wearing my ring to show that I’m off the market while I save up.
This would also make a lovely dinner outfit, cannot restrict the good stuff to only weddings… For a dinner or whatever couple outing of that sort, you can then match your color combination to the dominant color of your date’s outfit, if you get it right, it would come out beautifully and you would totally love your pictures together.
So, there is another wife material in Anokam Gift, I haven’t asked yet but… Let’s see how it goes lol, you know sometimes its good to just allow things happen on their own, I always had a thing for light girls anyways *sideeyes*. She’s cool, very calm and reserved, there is still some mystery about her .
The beautiful thing about neutral colors is that you can combine them with almost anything; as a matter of fact on this very day, I had an alternative combination of wine socks, wine polka dotted pocket square and wine lapel pin. That would have worked equally.
I am very particular about how my wedding outfit will turn out though, it just has to be perfect because ehn… Apart from the bride of course, the outfit is the next important thing to me, not really concerned about your jollof rice… The way people only remember how good the food at your wedding was. That’s like the yardstick for judging a good wedding these days. Get ready cos I’m gonna “feed” your eyes, I would change like three times that day, but don’t worry you’ll eat jollof rice.
This was the actual shoot we came together for, you can view the details on www.lifeinunilag.com.
So what color would you prefer to wear on your wedding day? Thanks for stopping by, thanks for your comments, I really appreciate each and every one of them. Stay out of trouble, till next time.
