Coincidentally, the theme of this post is in line with that of the last post (The Color Liberality of a Modern Man’s Style)
If you missed it, the direct link should take you there. Fashion would be less of what it should be if one fails to play with colors every now and then, I mean… It is an art after all.
In as much as I would call color liberality a style essential, it is key to note its down sides. For one, your clothes would stand out more because of the color prominence; now this could be not so good a thing if you do not have the flexibility of a large wardrobe, people remember your outfits faster because they stand out. Secondly, it is an edgy way to live; it takes a good measure of skill and dexterity, most people especially in this part of the world do not have the luxury of time to spend on technicalities of color combination. Furthermore; these outfits can get tiring, with the simplicity in plain colors, they are easier to rock and re-rock. This is not to dissuade however, this is me just looking at the other side of the coin in this one.
If I was to give a candid style advice on color choices for a suit; I would not recommend this to someone who doesn’t have what I would consider “the three basic colors” being black, grey and navy blue. After those colors, you can now afford to take bolder steps. What I’m saying in essence here is that in picking outfits generally, it is right to consider functionality and probably comfort before anything else.
That been said, there are actually a number of functional ways to go about styling this piece, asides from the three piece with the burnt orange colored waist-coat, you could go without the waistcoat on other days. You could replace the tie with an orange tie, still without the waist-coat. A more conservative choice would be to go with a black shirt instead of white… So the only colors present in the look are black and army green.
Outfit details; On this particular occasion, this army green single button suit was styled with a white shirt and polka dotted tie and matching pocket square, silver accessories to go. This is a simple yet detailed way to go about it.
Hmmmn… The wet-looks, very sexy things. If you do not want to go with anything which requires you to wear socks then this is perfect for such days.
