Best 6 Style Editorials of 2016

Happy holidays lovelies! I hope you have not been constipated from so much eating? Well, you deserve all that food; it’s been a long tough year. To round up my posts for the year, I would be highlighting my best 6 style editorials of 2016. Or let’s just say my favorite editorials.

Regardless of all the happenings, I am very grateful to God for my overall growth this year, and more specifically my style growth- I have in this year grown my style range and it feels great, it feels like learning new languages…  Just in my last style post, I tried something I had never done before, if you missed it you could check it out Denim Kinda Day

For one reason or the other, I am sentimentally attached to each and every one of the posts I have put up this year hence coming up with 6 posts that I consider to be “best” seems somewhat of an uphill task. However, I decided to look at some factors like dynamism,(uniqueness) diversity,(different from my normal style), editorial content (the strength of the message) and the response from you guys. So in no particular order lets dig in:

I loved the technicality of this put together and the outfit details too, and at the time this post broke the record on views and I think up till date it still has the highest comments… However there was a give away attached to it so… lol

Anyways its still on of my favorites, in case you missed it Just Like Fine Wine

Yea.. The scenery of this post was just everything for me… The message was clear, apologetically Afrocentric. It’s hard to explain the class yet originality of the post, I really love it. You can catch the full post here ( A Good Dose of Afrocentric Style )

After I got dressed for this shoot and picked up these snickers, my siblings were confused, they just did not understand what craziness I had conceived at the time, eventually, this turned out to be one of my ‘smartest’ smart casual posts this year. At the point where we began to infuse African prints into our outfits, it was still much of a bold move, bolder was infusing prints into a sartorial put together. Reminiscing on the dramatic events of this day and how much of a hit this outfit was, it just had to make the cut. First of, it was not just a style post, I reached some deep levels when I wrote this post, the message was straight forward and unrefined (well, a little bit refined for my own good lol). Furthermore, the style is also diverse, it’s not what would first come to your mind’s eye when you think of me which is a very good thing. Hey! Remember I said ‘no particular order’ don’t make me feel like there was an order all along. Well, in other news; this post was a “heat”… You would definitely not think of this when you think of me (except that now you actually would… lol). Its different, its spontaneous as it was totally unplanned, it was more of a test shoot before we shot the main looks on that day… There is this beauty in spontaneity, catch full post here ( Tank Top Frenzy )

Dibia Valentinoe   So here are my best 6 of 2016… yay or nay? Is there any post you would have loved to make the cut? by the way I fought myself endlessly on making the list 10, 6 was such a tough choice well, it should be.

To sum up my 2016; I am immensely grateful for all the support you guys have shown me this year, you guys are the ‘bestest’  for real… I am in awe of the love I have received, I am humbled by your support, God bless ya’ll for me, I look forward to this relationship in 2017… (And then I thought I couldn’t maintain a long term relationship till I met ya’ll. Relationship goals mehn, relationship goals… )
